School Meals
All school lunches are provided by The Pantry and are cooked onsite every day in our own school kitchen.
The Pantry offer a 'Food for Life' gold standard menu, meaning that they only serve locally sourced, fresh, high quality ingredients. The majority of food on the menu is freshly prepared, free from undesirable trans fat, sweeteners and additives, and is cooked by trained staff who use ingredients from sustainable and ethical sources.
Good to Know:
- Over 75% of the menu is made from scratch
- The bread is handmade by experienced chefs
- They use whole grain flour in their handmade breads
- All children have access to a fresh salad bar
- Fresh fruit is available every day
- All desserts are fruit or vegetable based
- Waste is monitored and kept to a minimum
All meals must be booked and paid for in advance. The current price for a school lunch is £2.90 per day or £14.50 per week. Please note that all children in Years R-2 are offered a funded UIFSM (Universal Infant Free School Meal).
Free school meals are also available to those currently receiving certain income-based benefits - please contact the Admin Team (in confidence) for further information. Eligibility status is confirmed regularly.
The alternative to a school meal is bringing a packed lunch from home. We ask that all lunch boxes are clearly labelled on the outside and do not contain any glass or sharp containers. Each year group has their own lunch box trolley and in the morning children will need to store their box sensibly, remembering also to collect it at the end of the day. We ask that the children do not bring sweets or chocolate bars as part of their lunch; as a school we are trying to encourage healthy eating habits.
Please do not send any food into school containing nuts or nut derivatives.
