Respect, Responsibility & Resilience

Internet Safety

The Internet is an amazing resource which enables children to connect, communicate and be creative in a number of different ways, on a range of devices. However, the Internet is always changing, and being able to keep up-to-date with your children’s use of technology can be a challenge. You may sometimes feel that your children have better technical skills than you do, however they still need advice and protection when it comes to managing their lives online.

In order to support parents and carers with developing their own knowledge, so that you in turn feel able to support your children, Vodafone (in connection with ParentZone) have produced a series of great magazines - 'Digital Parenting'.  These are a fantastic source of information.  Paper copies will be sent home as they are published, however please find links below to the two latest editions.

Keeping children safe online is everyone's responsibility, both school and home.  Through our Computing curriculum, we regularly work with the children to teach them about some of the dangers posed by online activity.  Children are encouraged to talk about any issues they are facing and are given guidance on how to ask for help when needed.
