Remote Education

'Remote Education’ is an umbrella term describing any learning that happens outside the classroom, without the class teacher present. Should we have to close the whole school once again, or a specific class / year group, we will use Google Classroom as the platform for our digital remote education offer.

Our model is mainly asynchronous. This means that lesson content and resources will be pre-prepared and/or recorded by the teachers and uploaded daily to Google Classroom. These lessons can then be accessed at different times throughout the day, which will allow the children flexibility to share devices and work at times that suit the family day.

If your child is self-isolating for a short period of time whilst the rest of their class is still in school, then remote learning will be sent home, providing they are well enough to receive it. If they need any help or support accessing the online resources, then please let class teachers know via the daily Google Meet sessions.

Please click on the attachments below for further information and help guides. We have also put together some additional resources to help support at home, which can be found within the individual tabs.

If you or your child has any concerns about your child's online safety, you can report your concern to the school by calling the office (01784 432155) on weekdays between 8.30am and 3.30pm and asking to speak to the DSL on duty.
